Learn more about us

Dedicated to the elite quality and creativity of masonry craftsmanship, Elk Point Masonry was established in 2020. Benjamin has been in the masonry business for over 30+ years specializing in mountain custom masonry. We continually invest in training and development, with every member of our team being carefully vetted for each project. We enjoy beautifying our community, whether that’s through residential or commercial projects. Our team is passionate about work, and we’re excited to hear your ideas for your dream project.

Our Story

Over the past 30+ years, Ben has been involved in about every type of masonry project imaginable, from custom residential to large scale commercial. During this time, he realized that the large corporate structure was not focused on the highest level of quality and craftsmanship, but rather volume and the bottom line. Comprehending the need for an elite masonry company in the Roaring Fork Valley that would focus on the quality and client service, he decided to take a leap of faith. And thus, Elk Point Masonry was founded.

We set ourselves apart by providing the highest level of customer service, quality installation, and paying attention to every detail, all while providing a fair market price. We pride ourselves on being a smaller company, which lets us be involved with every project, every day.

Precise, Professional, and Top-QUality

Meet Benjamin Harrison - Our Owner

Born and raised on the western slope of Colorado, Ben grew up enjoying all of the limitless outdoor opportunities the western slope has to offer. He attended Mesa State College for four years with an emphasis in education and biology, moved to the front range to work for 6 years in the commercial world of masonry, then returned to the Aspen and Telluride custom home markets.

Ben is a 3rd generation mason and has now been in the trade for 31 years. During that time, he’s worked as a hod carrier, mason, superintendent, senior project manager, and ultimately, owner. He understands all facets of running a stonework contracting business, and has worked on projects in Denver, Grand Junction, Telluride, Aspen and beyond.

Ben’s travels to quarries – throughout not just the U.S. but the entire world – this has given him a profound knowledge of stone. He understands where good stone comes from, and what stones work in our climate given the harsh freeze thaw cycles we endure in the mountain region. Today, he enjoys working directly with owners, architects, and construction managers to create beautiful works of art that will endure over time.
